Acting Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Katsina State has been murdered by suspected terrorists.
A Fulani himself, Amadu Surajo was reportedly slaughtered during a raid conducted on Mai Rana village in Kusada Local Government Area late on Saturday night.
It was also gathered that three others were killed and others injured in the attack suspected to have been carried out by Fulani bandits.
Surajo’s wives and daughter were also kidnapped, although reports said that one of his wives was later released.
Surajo was MACBAN state secretary before being promoted Acting Chairman after the mysterious disappearance of the association’s former Chairman and National Vice President, Munnir Lamido, in June 2024.
Those who sustained injuries in the attack have been taken to undisclosed hospitals for treatment.
