Nigeria’s Favour Ogechi Ani has made history by breaking the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS on the 16th of December 2025 which was published by Guinness world Records on the 5th of March 2026.
Favour became the first human being on earth to have counted 1,070,000 numbers out loud in 70 days non-stop.
Based in Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State, Ani hails from Enugu state, Nigeria.
In achieving this feat, she surpassed Jeremy Haper, a US citizen who was the previous title holder for the highest number counted out loud with the Guinness World Records for 18 years.
Jeremy Haper counted 1,000,000 numbers out loud in 89 days.
The Nigerian youth completed the marathon task over 70 days, broadcasting the entire attempt live on YouTube.
The record-breaker maintained a grueling 14-hour daily schedule.
Her routine remained unchanged for over two months, starting with prayer and breakfast, followed by seven-hour counting blocks split by a brief lunch interval.
By reaching the final tally, Ani surpassed the previous world record by 70,000 numbers.
She described the feat as a personal journey to push beyond human limits and achieve something extraordinary.
“Life itself inspired me to try something new,” Ani stated. She admitted the process was difficult, but noted that her inner passion for the task kept her focused throughout the journey.
A dedicated support team assisted Ani during the most challenging moments of the 70-day period.
The live-stream played a crucial role, as thousands of viewers tuned in to offer real-time encouragement.
“Saying that last number brought a mix of relief and joy,” Ani remarked, highlighting the unique nature of her accomplishment.
Despite the physical and mental toll, Ani claimed that quitting was never an option.
She defined the project as a “point of no return,” driven by absolute determination.
