Veteran Nollywood Actress Joke Silva is mourning the death of her elder brother, John Olabiyi Silva.
Mr. Silva died August 29, 2025, aged 72.
The award-winning Actress, who is married to iconic Actor Olu Jacobs, shared the sad news with fans on her Instagram page.
She wrote: “With acceptance of God’s Sovereign will, we announce the call to the glory of my dear brother, John Olabiyi Silva …long John Silva…Bros B…Uncle B…. my easy go lucky brother. Rest in peace. January 22nd 1953-August 29th, 2025.”
Her post has attracted an outpouring of condolences from colleagues in the movie industry and admirers.
