The Aare Atunluse of Awori Kingdom and Chairman, Mapcotec Nigeria Limited, Aare (Surveyor) Dr. Segun Osifeso, has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a leader whose dedication, wisdom and relentless service have significantly shaped the country’s growth and global standings.
Aare Osifeso, who made these remarks during a chat with newsmen at Ota, Ogun State on Tuesday, noted that former President Obasanjo remains a towering figure in Nigeria’s history whose unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria continues to inspire generations.
He stressed that the former President has carved an unequalled legacy defined by bridge – building and steadfast commitment to the progress of Nigeria in particular and the world in general.
The renowned Surveyor, who portrayed Chief Obasanjo as a foremost detrabilised Nigerian, recalled that during his administration as the country’s President, his ability transcended tribal and generational divides that earned him admiration across the globe
” I am happy to identify with my dear Egbon, having known him for over four decades as his counsel has guided both Nigerian and world leaders, influencing policies and decisions that have left lasting imprints on governance and development”, said Aare Osifeso
He, however, lauded the former President for his humanitarian gestures, saying humanity would for ever remain grateful to him, more so that he has decided to provide free comprehensive life – changing healthcare services to more than 10,000 Nigerians as parts of activities to celebrate his forthcoming birthday.
Aare Osifeso prayed that the Almighty God grants him more years in good health, strength and continued wisdom to guide and inspire Nigerians as he becomes a year older
The community leader noted that the legacy – driven humanitarian initiative would not only reflect former President Obasanjo’s lifelong commitment to service, nation – building and the well – being of the Nigerian people, but would also continue to embody his vision of accessible intervention for the underserved.
He particularly expressed his appreciation for the former President’s desire to include medical mission as part of his birthday celebration, more so that beneficiaries would receive free ear care services and provision of free hearing aids to qualified individuals, detailed eye screening and provision of recommended prescription glasses and referral and sponsorship for eye surgeries.
