P-Square’s Brother Jude Okoye Bailed In N1.3bn Fraud Case

Elder brother and former manager to Nigerian musical twins, P-Square, has regained his freedom after spending over two months in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Jude Okoye’s release has been celebrated by one half of P-Square, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, who took to Instagram.

“Jude is finally out after 2months + .. all their efforts to frustrate his bail has finally collapsed. Welcome home brother @judeengees. And happy birthday,” Paul wrote in his Instagram story.

He also shared a video showing the moment Ifeoma, Jude’s wife welcomed her husband with a hug.

Jude was arraigned before the court on Wednesday by the EFCC over a petition filed against him by his younger brother, Peter Okoye.

Jude is facing charges of alleged money laundering involving N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.

He was charged alongside his company, Northside Music Limited, on seven counts filed by the EFCC. Jude has since denied the allegations.

He was granted bail on March 6.

The court ordered he be remanded in custody pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
