A Pastor was subjected to a humiliating experience as members of his community paraded him before he was arrested by police for allegedly having intimate relations with a married woman in Edo state.
A video from the scene shows police officers afterwards picking him up and putting him in a van before driving off with him.
Some unconfirmed reports claim he was caught in a hotel with a married female chorister.
Writing on the incident, EKPOMAblog said: “Pastor apprehended and publicly disgraced by angry mob for allegedly caught sleeping with a pregnant married woman who’s also a chorister in his church and it’s also said the pastor was the one that blessed the woman’s marriage. This incident happened at upper sakpoba road, Benin city, Edo state.🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻”
Several videos have been shared online showing locals confronting the Pastor.
The Pastor was brought before community leaders, one of the videos shared online shows.
Those who brought him before the leaders are seen speaking their local dialect as they addressed the Pastor’s alleged offence.
Afterwards, he was paraded by locals, who held musical instruments and sang to shame him.
He was finally arrested.
