Nigerian singer Portable has apologised to a man he slapped last week for preaching Jesus near his bar.
Slapping the preacher in a recorded video, Portable (real name Habeeb Okikiola) accused him of trying to spoil his business by preaching in front of his bar and boasted that he “owned” the entire area.
The incident sparked widespread reaction on social media with many condemning him for his actions.
In a video released online Tuesday, the repentant singer wept as he apologised to the cleric.
The assaulted man accepted his apology.
Portable also asked other pastors to forgive him.
