Your People Need Food Not Tax
Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, in a prophetic outpouring has told the president of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to rescind decision to implement 5% tax on fuel.
He said this in his base in Lagos on Sunday, September 14, 2025. He added that he should not even dare to try the implementation of the 5% tax increase.
Primate Ayodele maintaned that what the people need is food on their table and not tax.
He said his advisers on petroleum matters are simply digging his grave and so should listen more to his finance minister who is in better position to tell him what to do.
He said, “President Tinubu, this 5% on fuel, if you execute it, your Government is gone, dare not remove it.
“People will be smiling with you and people will be smiling with you and your Government, people may not understand, and Nigerians do not want the five per cent.
“Of course, if you insist on the 5% implementation, well, Tinubu, your Government will go at the same time.
“I am telling you the honest truth, you may take it or leave it, you may say this man hates our party, that is not true, if you say it, that is your business.
“However, your taxation advisers are digging your grave for you.
“What Nigerians need now is not taxation.
“That taxation will create calamity for the nation, that taxation can set you back for second term.
” You may say who are they, but they will wait for you, remove it now, listen to your minister of finance, your minister of finance will give you reliable advice.
“If you don’t listen to your minister of finance, your Government will fail.
“Whoever that is giving you advice for five percent or whatever tax you may call it, they are creating another doom for your Government, and heaven will not fall, because there is hardship in the land, people are crying because of food, let people eat, reduce the price of food, light, etc.
“But if you continue, if you insist on the 5% tax, it won’t be like subsidy.
“These militants, they are coming, the militants, they can turn to terrorists.
“If you don’t do something urgently about militants, I don’t know the agreement you have with them, I repeat militants, they can turn into terrorists,” he said.
