Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos State, has urged the Federal Government to halt the planned population census as such exercise would trigger crisis in the country.
Primate Ayodele gave the prophetic warning at the international headquarters of his church at Ejigbo, on Tuesday, March 11, while speaking to a crowd of worshippers.
He stated that the National Population Commission may not give accurate account of the population, and therefore urged them to wait.
He said if the census is carried out before 2027, it would bring crisis in the country.
He added that the National Population Commission should not be in a haste to conduct the census.
The man of God made it clear that any census before 2027 would not be thorough and would not satisfy the yearnings of Nigerians.
Primate Ayodele also disclosed that such exercise would not be good for Nigeria’s democracy.
