I have taken time to ruminate over the controversy arising from the prophecy of the Servant of the only true God and Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, wherein he was wrongly quoted as saying Ndigbo cannot rule Nigeria because they are cursed.

Having examined, xrayed and evaluated this issue, I discovered that the people that picked offence over this prophecy grossly misunderstood this iconic prophet of international standing.

Primate Ayodele for those that know him, should also know, before going into bashing, should know that Primate Ayodele is a fearless prophet of God, and he says it raw as it is.

What is prophecy, mind of God coming through the mouth of a human, telling about the future, warning against future danger and designed to ensure that those concerned would take proactive steps to avert danger.

If the above definition came close to the definition of Prophecy, then, there is no need to criticize the man of God, rather what should be done was to, if possible, approach the man of God and ask him questions about this curse and what can be done to avert it.

We all know about Amos in the bible, we all know about Elijah, Elisha, Primate Elijah Ayodele is the only living prophet who still say it as it is.

Recall that before the election of Tinubu, Primate Ayodele came out openly and said Nigerians should not vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his fellow Yoruba man. He said it that Nigerians should not vote Tinubu and he further said these are the likely consequences, and those things he pointed out are happening today, Nigerians are harvesting what they sowed in the negative governance of the present administration.

Primate Ayodele loves the Igbos, he has built houses for some Igbos, he named the building housing his bakery after the executive governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, he has severally called for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, just last two weeks, he sold his property and raised N11 million for an Akwa Ibom State man for him to undergo kidney transplant.

During his empowerment programmes, he does not segregate if one is Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa. He gifts journalists cash, cars, he does not wait if you are Yoruba before he could gift you. So such a lover of people, philanthropist and say it as it is prophet, should not be vilified for coming out to warn a people.

Let us calm down, ponder, and articulate, let’s see how we can work with this prophecy and rebuild our political future, I think that is the way to go.
