Remo Stars have emerged champions of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Daniel Ogunmodede’s side claimed their maiden NPFL title following a 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, on Sunday.
The Ogun State Ikenne-based club sit on top the table with 68 points from 35 matches.
Second-placed Rivers United have accumulated 58 points from the same number of games.
As this season’s NPFL champions, Remo Stars will be the first South-West team to win the title in 25 years.
Olamilekan Adedayo scored the decisive goal six minutes from time.
