The Nigerian striker, now permanently with Galatasaray after a stellar loan from Napoli, earned the Yılın Sporcusu award at the GQ Türkiye Men of the Year ceremony on Wednesday.
In his heartfelt speech, he thanked GQ, his Galatasaray family, and fans worldwide, ending with a passionate ‘Yaşasın Galatasaray!’ that ignited the crowd.
He vowed to do more for Turkish champions Galatasaray after he scooped the prize by GQ Magazine Turkey.
He told the audience at the colourful awards ceremony: “Thank you to GQ. Of course, I can’t forget my family, Galatasaray. This means a great deal to me. I will do my best for my family, for Galatasaray, and for the fans.
“Thank you for this award, I am grateful.”
Last season, Osimhen was the top scorer of the Turkish Super Lig as Galatasaray won a record-extending 25th championship as well as Turkish Cup.
Osimhen’s dominance shone through 37 goals in 41 games last season and 11 in 15 this year, fueling the club’s league lead and Champions League hopes.
