Nigeria’s Senate has postponed its resumption date from September 17 to Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
No reason was given.
The Upper Chamber had embarked on its annual recess on July 23.
Making the new development known, Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, wrote in an internal memorandum titled: “Change in Resumption Date from Summer Break,” sent to all the lawmakers on Wednesday.
The memo read, “Please be informed that the resumption date from the ongoing recess has been rescheduled from Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11 am.
“Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
