Veteran singer Jazzman Olofin has continued to call out Afropop star Adekunle Gold over the use of his classic hit, “Raise Da Roof,” during a recent performance in London.

The controversy began after a clip surfaced online showing Adekunle Gold’s band rehearsing and performing the hook of the 22-year-old song during his show.

Reacting to the video, Jazzman stated that while he has no issue with artistes briefly freestyling another artiste’s song as a sign of respect, a full rehearsal and performance without prior notice was unacceptable.

He wrote: “I’ve got no issue with an artiste freestyling another artist’s song on stage for a second as a sign of respect. It’s cool. BUT when you go through a great length to actually rehearse my 22-year-old monster hit song with your one million man live band… haba.”

In a new post, the singer expressed disappointment that Adekunle Gold has remained silent more than a week after he called him out.

According to him, fans and colleagues have continued to ask for updates, yet the Afropop star has failed to “do the needful.”

“But you got so many hits of your own, why you gotta flex with mine and still don’t wanna show respect?” Jazzman added.

He also warned that karma may one day make a younger artiste do the same to Adekunle Gold.

He also emphasised that despite Not making the same style of music as the younger generation, he remains active and deserves proper recognition.

“I may be a little too old to be singing your generation’s music, but I’m certainly not too old to spend your generation’s money. Mr @adekunlegold, I’m still actively performing. Don’t beat around the bush. Next time, call baba,” he wrote
