Social Media Influencer Kola Oni Foto Killed In Lagos Bike Accident

Social media is burning with tears over news that a popular Nigerian photographer and Social Media Influencer Kola Oni Foto Killed In Lagos Bike AccidentK, ola Oni Foto, real name, Orowole Samuel Kolapo, has died following a motorcycle accident.

He was 35.

The social media photographer and avid biker lost his life on Monday following a motorcycle accident, just weeks after excitedly sharing his newfound passion for riding.

Reports indicated that Kola had been involved in a serious accident and was rushed to the emergency unit at the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) facility at 7UP, Ojota, Lagos.

He was subsequently transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for further treatment.

However, Kola succumbed to his injuries on March 2.

The incident unfolded shortly after Kola posted on Facebook on Sunday, March 1, about embarking on his first solo motorcycle trip from Lagos to Akure.

“Heading out on my first solo ride out of Lagos to Akure,” he wrote, brimming with enthusiasm.

Tragically, within hours of the post, friends began sharing alarming updates on social media.

On January 15, Kola had proudly announced on social media that he had fulfilled a lifelong dream by becoming a biker.

Accompanying a photo of himself posing confidently beside his new motorcycle, he captioned it: “I recently became a new biker. One of my life dreams clocked and achieved! I won’t fall and die on this – Amen!”

Beyond his love for motorcycles, he was a talented photographer, an Uber driver, a naval officer, and a writer.

Tributes have flooded Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) as friends, family, and admirers mourn his untimely passing.

Messages of shock, grief, and fond memories paint a picture of a kind-hearted soul who touched many lives.

Writing on Facebook, Gift Ogbonna posted on Monday: “I remember how he wrote several times about people’s opinions regarding his decision on becoming a biker…

“Little did he know that those people were really concerned and worried about his life…. If he ever knew that this same bike would have taken his life within this shortest period of owning it ,he wouldn’t have disregarded those advisers. Rip onifoto. This your death really touch me.”

Temitope Essex retweeted Rita Agwu’s post:

“She said even their driver was saying that, ‘ahhh the speed too much.’

_She said the driver stopped and went down with some other passengers to see if CPR could be administered, because he was still breathing.

“She said in 5 minutes the ambulance arrived! LASTMA were there one time (im sure the family will be happy to hear that he got help on time). She said it’s like their office is near their because there arrived really fast! I’m glad they did.

“The car that Kola hit was a nude coloured Corolla. Light brownish. The impact left a dent in the passenger side door and broke the mirror side .

“She had no idea until she opened my page this evening that it was someone she knows online that’s why she called. She said many people recorded, but she couldn’t look at the gore.”
