The son of the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Tunji Disu, has died in Abuja.
The young man, Adam, reportedly agree 33, died in a car accident on Monday, January 20.
Despite his loss, Disu paid a condolence visit to CSP A.A. Sambo, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ushafa Division, who also tragically lost a son.
During the visit, CP Disu expressed heartfelt sympathies and assured CSP Sambo and his family of the Command’s unwavering support during this difficult time.
The Commissioner has received an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends, and members of the public.
Journalists’ efforts to reach the spokesperson of the FCT Command, Josephine Adeh, proved abortive as of press time.
Adam was reportedly driving alone in a BMW he suffered a horrific car accident on Monday.
The car was said to have caught fire as it rolled over after entering a ditch.
Until Disu’s current position, he had been CP for Rivers State.
He became CP for the FCT in October 2024.
One of those close to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Disu was Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), formed when the Nigerian leader was Governor of Lagos State 1999-2007.
