This morning, after I posted about Alhassan Musa and Shuaibu Adamu two men unlawfully detained by the heartless Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and the agony their families and children have endured, I received new information from the tireless human rights lawyer handling their case, Hamza Nuhu Dantani.
According to him, the commander of Zulum’s notorious “Crack FC” squad has now invited the families of the two men to come and secure their release on bail. I have now spoken with the men after their release. They are in high spirits.
These men have been in illegal detention since July 24th, 2025 , nearly six weeks of unlawful imprisonment, carried out under the governor’s direct orders through his brutal apparatus of the notorious Nigeria Police Force “Crack Squad FC”.
This moment highlights the importance of unity among the oppressed against wicked leadership in Nigeria. We cannot afford to relent. We must continue to push until Governor Zulum releases every person he has illegally detained, including the minors he threw into prison simply for participating in the #EndBadGovernance protest.
It is not enough for individuals to be released on bail or in secret deals—the notorious “Crack Hit Squad” must be completely shut down. Beyond that, the veil of corruption in Borno will be torn apart, and the slavish wages paid to workers in the state must be increased without delay. #RevolutionNow
