Nigerian TikTok content creator, Peller, has offered an explanation for leaving Islam to become a Christian.
The TikToker addressed his religious affiliation during a TikTok live streaming, during which a fan referred to him as a Muslim.
During the live session, a fan mistakenly referred to him as a Muslim, prompting his candid response about his faith.
“Which one be this boy name Muslim?” Peller said “I’m not a Muslim. I go to church very well.”
He explained that he left Islam due to the beatings he received when attending Quranic school. He said this made him decide to embrace Christianity.
Peller went on to share that he was once enrolled in a Quranic school as a child. However, rather than being a place of learning and spiritual development, it became a source of trauma for him.
He recounted being subjected to harsh physical punishment, an experience that left a deep emotional impact.
“I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic school. That’s why I stopped going,” he said.
According to Peller, this early experience played a significant role in shaping his spiritual path and ultimately led him to embrace Christianity.
