Nigerian singer Timaya has raised concerns over the continuous destruction of farms in Bayelsa by Fulani herdsmen, urging the Nigerian government to take immediate action.

Taking to his social media handle on X (formerly Twitter), the singer wrote:

“Please, the government should do something. They are destroying farms in BAYELSA. Aboki, take your cows inside and feed them properly. This is so sad.”

Timaya’s reaction comes after a group of protesting Bayelsa women shared their harrowing experiences with Fulani herdsmen, who were allegedly uprooting their cassava to feed their cattle.

In a viral video, one of the women recounted witnessing the herdsmen pulling out cassava from their farmland and feeding it to their cows. She also revealed that a lady who confronted the herdsmen was beating and raped.
