Tinubu Names Director For Newly-Created Energy Security Directorate

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of a Director for the newly-created Directorate of Energy Security in the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree will head the Energy Security Directorate, a new unit at the Office of the National Security Adviser.

The directorate will focus on policy coordination, infrastructure protection strategies, data management, security coordination, risk advisory, and strategic alliances in the energy sector.

In a statement by Zakari Mijinyawa, ONSA’s Head of Strategic Communications, Amachree’s appointment was described as part of the government’s commitment to ensuring a stable, sustainable, and secure energy supply for all Nigerians.
