In the press briefing by the Chiefs and Regent of Ketu to address various claims filling the airspace and debunk allegations as contained in the press interview of Prince Babajide Adefowora.

Chief Akeem Oluwo as the king elect from Adeona Ruling House as requested by the Oshokejis, he noted that there was no other contestants for the throne of Ketu as Alaketu that was received by the Oshokeji,
the Head of all Ruling House comprising of all family heads of Efunderu, Adeona, Otunwunmi and Otujeru ruling houses.

While the whole town was agog at the emergence of Chief Oluwo Kayode Akeem as the Alaketu of Ketu a court injunction was received stopping the process of coronation.

Alhaji Lookman Anjorin further clarify on the accusation of selling land of Ketu, he said he sold land that belonged to his great grandmother and that he has no regret, as he would not allow an Ibo man to take over his inheritance.

On the claim of land grabbing he said that late king in connivance with some members of the community brought the Ajagungbale to forcefully take over Ketu land, this case was resolved at the
force headquarter in Abuja where Chief Akeem Oluwo was absolved of every claim of land grabbing.
He has since been helping members of the town to take back their land from land grabbers. Some witnesses were called in to attest to Chief Akeem Oluwo’s contribution in resolving all their land matters and issues.
They were Mr. Adeomo Koleodu, Ganiu Mufutau, Olaiya Idowu.
The Olori Omo Oba Oshokeji and head, Otunwunmi Royal family, Chief Muse Oluwo said the process to commence the choosing of another King kicked off after a letter was received from the Local Government asking us to begin the process, in a meeting held on the 20th February, 2023, by the Oshokeji in council
there it was unanimously agreed that Adeona Ruling Family should be the next to present a king and the name of Chief Oluwo Kayode Akeem was submitted by the Adeonas which was further presented before the Ifa Oracle Divination and was equally declared by Ifa Divination as the chosen one hence Chief Akeem
Oluwo was declared King elect.

He went down memory lane of how the kings and the Bale in time past came to be kings and went further to say that Adeona was asked to present the king in continuation of the old traditions and culture of Ketu.
Ketu refused to be cowed by the elite and the rich.Chief Akeem Oluwo said the press briefing is to debunk all lies that were being peedled about by claimant to the throne of Ketu.

He said on claims of not being qualified to become the king of ketu, on the accusation of land grabbing and other accusations. He said the person claiming not to be from the same family are indeed from same family with same mother but different fathers, going down memory lane, he said Otunwunmi was the only female among Adeniran’s children, who married her first husband from Oke

Ejinrin whose name was Kalejaiye, gave birth to Oyefusi, Amosu, Ogunberu and the second husband was Oluwo Ogunberu from Epe, whom he bore Rufai otherwise known as Adefowora and Ajayi, who was the only woman bore by Otunwunmi, Oyefusi being the first son of Otunwunmi, gave birth to Deinde, who begot Wahab, Wahab gave birth to Mujib and Mujib gave birth to Akeem . He went further to give the family tree of Amosu gave birth to Amokeoja, Amokeoja gave birth to Mogaji. Ogunberu gave birth to Adesanya, Osenatu, who gave birth to Kareem Adisa Oluwo the Late Oba Kareem Adisa Adenuga. Rufai gave birth to Iya Ketu, Awele, Ishau, Bodunrin, Ishau being a son of Rufai, gave birth to Adeyemi Adefowora who begat Babajide Adekoya Adefowora, Ishau also gave birth to Adekunle Adefowora then gave birth to late King Adegboyega Adefowora. He said everyone should know his source and put history
right so as not to sell false narrative to the populace.

On the court matter, he said the case was instituted by the opposing camp and asked that if truthfully the town desires Jide’s kingship, he wouldn’t be one of the plaintiffs in court. The certificates and letter of approval from government were ready before the court injunctions came stopping processes and stalling
the installation till now.

The claim of his family’s sole right to the kingship of Ketu is as invalid as all his
claims to put record in right perspectives, the late Oba Kareem Adisa came from the Ogunberu family who is of same father with my grandfather Dehinde and whose name, Oluwo the king bore till he ascended the throne of Alaketu of Ketu.

The claims of bringing out Eluku during the festive season was debunked as absolute lie as there would
be lots of programmes outlined for the festivities. Eluku is a traditional rite that forbade non-natives participating, how could a sane mind put such programme during this period when visitors would throng the town.

On the claim of killing one Lekki, Chief Akeem Oluwo said he is not capable of killing a fly, he clarified that the land in question had been sold by Lekki but was taken over by the so call surveyors who did a survey that was under investigations and was discovered to be fake. Late Lekki whose name is Shakiru Bello, Aluwe Fatai Bello, Lekki elder’s brother and Elder Iyiowu Bello came to me on how their land could be recovered from the surveyors, efforts were put in place, I have helped in reclaiming most of the taken over land and some of the lands are being recovered for the owners; as supported by some physical witnesses.

On the fake survey which was being used to sell Ketu Epe land; effort had been made to verify that the survey is fake and for proper actions taken to bring justice to bear.

Ajagungbales who were brought in by the late king with his supporters and the Chiefs of Ketu in council were invited to Abuja on investigation by the force Headquarter; over the claim of land grabbing it was established that the land
in question should be abdicated by the Ajagungbales when their purveyors do not have requisite documents to claim ownership of the land.

On the peace effort so far, Chief Oluwo said that no problem in the kingdom considering the caliber of people in attendance during this press briefing would these caliber go so low to engage in fisticuffs with anyone?

High Chief Adewale Taofeek Badru, the regent and Olisa of Ketu clarified that he never invited Jide to contest against Chief Akeem Oluwo as the Alaketu, he emphasised that Prince Jide Adefowora called him to inquire about the processes of becoming king which as availed him and at no time was there a urging from him to Jide to contest the kingship.
