Founder and Leader of INRI Spiritual Evangelical Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has reiterated his revelation about massive corruption in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited.

Primate Ayodele’s insistence on the rot in NNPC reverberated as a swift response to the claim by the firm reporting that it made a N3-trillion gain.

Querying the claim, he wondered why the country would be borrowing more money if the NNPC indeed made the N3 trillion gain.

He called on the ruling party to stop propaganda with no bearing on the economy, adding that, the Nigerian economy would not heal under eight years of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s rule.

Ayodele called on the President not to joke with his call to sack the NNPC GMD unless there are surreptitious underhand developments known to the authorities which are hidden to the public.

According to him, people were suffering and food prices were still going up, while the government indulges in propaganda.

In his words, “Don’t let anybody deceive you, they said food prices have dropped, food prices have not dropped. I stand by this message that the Nigerian economy will not be better, not in the eight years of Tinubu. All what they are doing, putting together, this and that, I don’t see anything, because there are a lot of things this government will do that they don’t want to expose to people. They are going to borrow money, so tell me when the economy will be better?

“When I tell them that they should sack the NNPCL GMD (Mele Kyari), that one replied me. He is giving the Press money to be writing rubbish. If they don’t sack him, if Tinubu does not sack him then, because is petrol not going to N1,000? That’s what we are saying; he has nothing to offer Nigeria.

“The place is rotten, there are a lot of hidden things in NNPC, except Tinubu connives with him, if he settles Tinubu, if he did not, they should let him leave, and you will see a lot and this fuel wahala will come down, otherwise the economy will not get better.

“Better what, the people are hungry, food prices are going up, there is still inflation, they are just deceiving themselves, let them stop this deceit and let’s know where we are going.

“This propaganda that food prices are coming down, they are not coming down. Nothing is coming down and that is why the government have to be very serious and stop all these politics they are playing, the NNPC is one of the problems this country is facing.

“They said they made N3 trillion. What is N3trillion? If they make N3trillion then Nigeria should not go and borrow money again now! But they still go and borrow money. A lot is still at stake in NNPC, except we are deceiving ourselves.”
