The Day Ex-Gov Rotimi Amaechi Foolishly Finished His Wife In Public

Those who can reason properly had advised Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to tread softly after being in government since 1999 after the likes of Gani Fawehinmi, Beko Ransom Kuti, Frank Kokori, Wole Soyinka, Bola Tinubu, Uba Sani, Dan Suleiman, Shehu Sani, Uba Chima, Alfred Rewane, Kudirat Abiola etc had worked and paid for this democratic government we presently enjoy till 2022 when he resigned to run (and he truly ran) for president.

Some paid the ultimate price while some had their businesses completely crippled and they never recovered but like a dog destined to lost would not listen to the hunter’s whistle, he did not listen.

He refused to listen to the voice of reason.

It is not hidden that hardly will you find a Nigerian politician occupy a political office for just four years where he has control over budget and not steal but Amaechi, in an attempt to present himself as a saint among others, said that he hardly steal.

No problem.

He went on air boasting and disparaging those in power like he was never in power for a day.

That was on Thursday.

The anchor of the programme asked if he ever worked outside government before, he said his wife is an industrialist and therefore she’s very rich.

Brilliant.

It’s good to have a woman ‘of timber and caliber’ who is the breadwinner in a family where the man was a speaker, a governor and a Chinese loan borrowing super minister.

That should tell us how industrious the industrialist is.

However, one of the those who know him very well, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, who was his prime target at the Thursday interview came to the same programme on same tv station before the same anchor man, Seun Okinbaloye (Okinbaloye means the Peacock Perches on the Throne) in Friday.

Wike was told that his abuser 24 hours earlier has a wife who is an industrialist and that’s when trouble ensued.

The innocent industrialist was enjoying her alleged loots until her desperate and ungrateful husband mentioned her name and presented her like a Dangote.

Wike said that Mrs Amaechi is not an industrialist because when you buy and sell, you are not producing and so you can not be called an industrialist.

But that was not all.

He said that the woman was getting N4bn a month and she got it for 12 months from the NDDC without using it for the purpose it was meant for.

He alleged that in just a year, the woman whose husband hardly stole, stole N48bn from just one government agency.

It did not end there.

He added that Abubakar Malami, who also wants to bring change to Nigeria now that he is out of government, helped Amaechi buried the file indicting the woman.

He said that he would resign as FCT Minister if the file is brought out and the fraud is not found in it.

Channels tv added 30 minutes more and Seun Okinbaloye became dumb founded with Wike’s expositions backed with verifiable facts.

But the ‘reasonables’ always knew and said that Ibrahim Magu was removed by Malami because he was making such criminal moves difficult for him.

He ended up accusing Magu of insubordination after several failed attempts to blackmail the man with false accusations.

He brought one boy from his state as a replacement.

I saw Amaechi pressing a self destruct button when he started presenting himself as a saint just 2 years after leaving office but I did not know that his industrialist wife would be the first casualty of his careless, irresponsible and false presentations to impress those he and others have long subjected to poverty.

He even called for a bloody revolution after his wife has taken N48bn from just an agency.

In whatever you do, pray not to marry a spouse who will expose your loot when you’ve thought that an AGF had taken care of that.

And if you’re ungrateful for occupying top political offices for about 24 years, this is the kind of shame you’ll bring to yourself and your thie+ving industrialist spouse.
