A 41-Year-Old Woman has been found dead at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, Prayer City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, in a suspected case of suicide.
The death was discovered at the weekend on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was found unresponsive inside the main auditorium of the worship centre.
The corpse was found and reported by the church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere.
According to Ekikere, he received an emergency call around 7:20 a.m., alerting him to an unconscious woman lying on the auditorium floor.
When he got to the spot, Ekikere said he found the woman motionless, with an empty bottle of a suspected toxic substance, believed to be Sniper, beside her.
The incident was immediately reported to the police.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and carried out preliminary documentation, including photographing the area for investigative purposes.
The body was subsequently evacuated and deposited at Real Divine Hospital morgue, where an autopsy is expected to be conducted to confirm the exact cause of death.
