The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Ekiti State’s former Governor Ayodele Fayose, and Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the National Secretary.

Chief Olabode George, former National Vice Chairman of the party (South) moved the motion for the expulsion at the ongoing convention in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Hon Samaila Buga, Chairman of the PDP in Bauchi, seconded the motion.

The National Convention also took the same action on Kamaldeen Ajibade, Austin Nwachukwu, and others.

According to the party, the landmark move was to restore unity, discipline, and focus ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The decision was promptly ratified by an overwhelming majority of delegates.

The party said the move underscores its “commitment to eradicating internal divisions and anti-party conduct that have plagued its progress.”
