Fellow Nigerians,
As we step into a new year, I extend warm greetings and heartfelt solidarity to Nigerians across all regions, faiths, and backgrounds. The past year has been one of profound trials for our people. Millions of families are grappling with unprecedented hardship brought about by ill-conceived policies, worsening inflation, insecurity, unemployment, and the shrinking economy that has left millions of families in poverty. Livelihoods under the Tinubu-led APC government are at risk due to drastic decline in the economy and lack of investment in infrastructure projects and insecurity of the people.
The stupendous lack of leadership and corruption is a major problem for Nigeria. Hunger and food shortages are everyday challenges for most people in the country. Major frustration for most people is the lack of basic human needs such as food, water, shelter. And the absolute neglect of the elderly, disabled and children cares by the government.
No doubt the hardship is real and the people are suffering from neglect and lack of care. And the weight of these challenges can be overwhelming, yet I will still urge Nigerians not to despair at the prospect of a new country that is more prosperous in Nigeria. Our nation’s destiny must not be surrendered to failed policies, misplaced priorities, or governance that lacks compassion for the masses.
History has shown that nations do not collapse because of hardship alone, they collapse when their people lose hope. Nigerians must not lose hope.
This is a defining moment for collective action, unity of purpose, and courageous political engagement. It is time for Nigerians of conscience to join forces with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a party committed to people-centred governance, economic justice, security of lives and property, true federalism, and accountable leadership.
ADC epitomizes the principles of Democracy and adhere strictly to its Tenets.
Governance is about serving the people, not the privileged few.
Economic policies should lift citizens out of poverty, not deeper into it.
Youths are empowered, not neglected.
Leadership is built on integrity, competence, and inclusion not just to take advantage of the opportunities.
The road to national recovery and growth is built on trust and accountability, not just by a desire to make money.
It requires honesty, respect for our values and commitment, not despair.
It also means a willingness to embrace a viable alternative and ADC is the only way forward.
As we begin this new year, let us renew our faith in Nigeria, organize peacefully, engage politically, and work together to reclaim our nation’s promise.
Together, we can build a Nigeria that works for us all.
May the new year bring strength to our people and wisdom to our leaders.
Happy New Year to everyone.
ADC – Our Hope for a Greater Nigeria.
