This is Olabisi Ogunfuye, who was tragically k!lled by a BRT bus on July 8, 2025.

She had gotten a new job just four months earlier and was returning home from work around 7:30 p.m.

When she was on her way, she called her husband, Bolanle, to inform him.

At about 7:45 p.m., Bolanle tried to reach her again but her phone was no longer reachable.

Shortly after, a number called him and told him to go to Shyllon bus stop. When he arrived, he was met with the devastating sight of his wife’s lifeless body

Reports have it that the BRT bus veered out of its designated lane due to reckless driving, struck Olabisi where she was standing and ran over her.

The driver did not stop immediately; it was only after passengers shouted at him to stop that he eventually stopped the bus. He then fled the scene.

The following day, he turned himself in at a police station but was later granted bail. Olabisi’s family is now seeking justice for their daughter.

The BRT management offered the family N1.5 million as settlement but the family rejected.
