Lagos Labour Leader Dies At ILO Convention In Geneva
On behalf of the Lagos State Government, the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, extends his heartfelt condolences to the family of late Comrade Domingo, Michael Adeleke, who passed away on Monday, 8th June 2026, following a brief illness during the ongoing 114th Session of the International Labour Convention in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Lagos State Government commiserates with his family, colleagues, members of the Labour Centres, and workers across Lagos State on this unexpected, painful and irreparable loss.
Until his passing, Comrade Domingo served as the Chairman of the Lagos State Joint Negotiating Council (JNC).
He was a delegate of the Lagos State group to the 114th Convention when he reportedly took ill and subsequently passed on.
The Head of Service described the late labour leader as a dedicated and committed unionist who devoted his career to promoting the welfare, rights, and interests of workers.
The Head of Service further disclosed that arrangements are currently underway to repatriate his body to Nigeria.
