Primate Ayodele Urges Govt, Dangote To Lower Fuel Price To N450/Litre To End Hardship
Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, has urged the Federal Government and the Dangote Refinery to reduce the pump price of petrol to N450.
Primate Ayodele gave the recommendation on Friday, June 26, 2026, while addressing journalists.
He said there was need for the government to be told the truth on the imperative of reducing the price, which would ease livelihoods in the country.
He also implored Alhaji Aliko Dangote to help Nigerians since he was almost the sole player in the field,
Ayodele added that the government should be sure that there were other players in the sector to enhance competition.
He said, “The price of petrol can go for N500.
“There is too much politics in this petrol pump price. Politics! Is anybody ready to tell the government the truth?
“You can make this thing N500, N450, you can make life better for the people. The cost of living will go down.
“Because the higher the petrol pump price, the higher everything in Nigeria, the cost of living will rise.
“The cost of petrol can still go for N450, Dangote can further reduce it to N450 because he is the only one that is in the system.
“If there is more competition, then the petrol price can still go down to N450.”
