Freed Principal Reveals Real Reason Terrorists Killed 2 Male Teachers Of 39 Abducted Oyo Schoolchildren
Oyo State’s Governor Seyi Makinde has confirmed that another abducted teacher, Mr. John Olaleye, was killed, in addition to the beheaded Mr. Michael Oyedokun, by terrorists who captured 39 pupils and seven teachers during the Oriire Local Government school abduction.
The confirmation came after the rescued victims were handed over to the Oyo State Government.
Released female Principal, Mrs. Rachael Alamu, first broke the news while speaking to reporters, saying, Olaleye was killed on the first Sunday of June 2026 while in captivity.
Alamu, the Principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, revealed that the kidnappers deliberately killed the two male teachers to put pressure on the government to meet their demands.
She added that they the victims witnessed the tragic incident.
Makinde confirmed the information.
The Governor confirmed that Olaleye was killed after the killing and beheading of Oyedokun by the abductors.
The rescued victims have since been reunited with the Oyo State Government, while efforts continued to provide them with medical care, psychological support, and other necessary assistance.
Speaking about the ordeal in the Oyo State Governor’s office on Monday, Mrs. Alamu said the abductors executed two members of the group at different times during their captivity to intensify fear and force the authorities to concede to their demands.
According to her, Oyedokun was killed on the second day of their captivity, while Deacon John Olaleye was killed on the first Sunday of June.
“They killed them purposely because they felt that would force the government to give them whatever they wanted,” she said.
“There was no sexual molestation of the female victims.
“The male teachers had it worse than us. They were blindfolded, handcuffed, chained, and tied until they remained two.
“In the first week, they gave the children biscuits to make them feel comfortable.”
