Abia Driver Deliberately Crashes Bus To Kill Passenger After Petty Quarrel
A driver with the Abia City Transport, Ifeanyi Okwuaja, deliberately aimed the front passenger side of his Lagos-bound bus in order to finish off the man sitting beside him after they had a petty quarrel on leaving Onitsha garage in Anambra State.
Seated in the front, the passenger died after the driver crashed the bus into a stationary trailer at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The unnamed passenger was on board to Lagos from Onitsha earlier this July 2026, when they fell out and exchanged hot words.
During their hot exchange, Okwuaja vowed that he would “deal” with the passenger.
On driving to Ijebu-Ode, he allegedly intentionally rammed the bus under a parked trailer, positioning the front passenger seat to take the impact.
His reportedly intended victim died instantly with other passengers injured.
Subsequently, Okwuaja took his bag and left the scene.
The company traced him to Ahiazu Mbaise, his home town in Imo State, where he was arrested.
Video showed him in handcuffs as police narrated his heinous crime.
Police said he would face prosecution.
