Abiola’s Daughter Rinsola, Tinubu’s Presidential Aide, Meets UNIABUJA Students Union President
The daughter of the Late Chief M.K.O. Abiola, renowned Nigerian businessman and presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, Ms. Rinsola Abiola, recently hosted the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the University of Abuja, Ms. Eyamu Oghenenyerovwo Peculiar.
Rinsola, who wears twin hats as Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the Director-General of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, shared details of the visit on her Instagram page.
According to Rinsola, the students’ leader was accompanied by Ms. Chinenye Precious Nwaorgu, Chairperson of the National Female Students Association of Nigeria (NFSAN), University of Abuja chapter.
Rinsola posted: “Thursday, I received Ms. Eyamu Oghenenyerovwo Peculiar, the first democratically elected female SUG President in the history of the University of Abuja. She was accompanied by Ms. Chinenye Precious Nwaorgu, Chairperson of the National Female Students Association of Nigeria (NFSAN), UNIABUJA chapter.
“We discussed several matters, such as navigating leadership as a young woman, overcoming challenges, prioritising fairness, building trust, and striking the right balance between collaboration and firmness in decision-making.
“As the first female Director-General in the 75-year history of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, I was pleased to share some reflections from my own leadership journey. I encouraged her to lead with confidence, remain true to her values, and allow competence, consistency and integrity to speak for her.
“I congratulate Ms. Eyamu on this historic milestone and wish her a successful and impactful tenure.”
