ADC No Longer Small Party In Ogun, Ready To Take Over In 2027 —Ifo II House Of Assembly Candidate
Honourable Sadiq Azeez Babatunde, the ADC candidate for the Ifo II House of Assembly in Ogun State, has said that the party has grown beyond being regarded as a minor political party, stressing that it is prepared to take control of government in the 2027 elections.
According to him, the growth of the ADC has become a source of concern to other political parties, as they are uncertain about how to contain the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
He further explained that the influence of the party has spread across Ogun State, including rural communities, which, he said, has attracted increasing support from residents.
The House of Assembly candidate also recalled that the ADC came third in the 2023 elections, saying that the situation would be different in the forthcoming election, as the party would emerge victorious.
Speaking about his ambition to become a member of the House of Assembly, Sadiq Babatunde expressed gratitude to God for the support he had received from the people of Ifo II House of Assembly
He said the people were yearning for positive change in the current administration and were ready to use their votes to remove those in government.
He added that the level of support he had received gave him confidence that the people would vote for him and ensure his victory at the polls.
Babatunde said his major focus, if elected, would be to promote better living conditions, continuity and development for the people he intends to represent.
He noted that some communities in Ifo II were facing serious hardship, adding that residents had repeatedly complained to the government about the poor condition of their communities without receiving adequate attention.
He said such neglected areas would be among his first priorities at the Assembly if elected.
He further listed education, healthcare, environmental sanitation, economic development and other related areas as key sectors he intends to focus on, while also working to strengthen democracy and good governance.
He therefore appealed to the people of Ogun State to support the ADC in the forthcoming election and use their Permanent Voter Cards to vote out the APC.
