ADC’s Owokoniran Motivates Nigerians As Presidential Campaigns Officially Begin Today : Nigeria Belongs To All Of Us Not APC

As the 2027 political campaign officially begins today Wednesday, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) South West and Convener of the Frontliners Movement, Lagos State, Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, has called on Nigerian women and youths to rise, unite and take an active role in reclaiming the future of Nigeria.

Owokoniran said Nigerians could no longer remain silent as poverty, insecurity, unemployment, hardship and declining opportunities continued to affect millions of citizens.

In a statement issued today, Owokoniran said: “Nigeria does not belong to any political party. Nigeria belongs to Nigerians. As the campaigns officially begin today, our women and youths must recognise that this is not merely another election, it is an opportunity to decide the kind of Nigeria we want to build.”

He urged Nigerians to reject political apathy, ethnic and religious divisions and short term inducements, insisting that the ballot remained one of the strongest instruments through which citizens could demand accountability and change.

According to him, the ADC represented a new political direction, centred on democratic participation, good governance, economic opportunity and putting citizens first.

He expressed confidence that with Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi at the helm, Nigeria would begin a new chapter of economic recovery, stronger institutions, security, job creation and renewed hope for young Nigerians and families.

He said: “The time to stand up is now. The time to organise is now. The time to take responsibility for our future is now.

“Nigeria belongs to us, and together we can reclaim its promise.

“He who ignores the signs will see the wonders.”
