ADC’s Owokoniran Salutes Nigeria At 66 And Urges Nigerians Not To Give Up On Country
As Nigeria marks 66 years of Independence, Hon. Rahman Owokoniran warmly felicitates with all members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Nigerians at home and abroad.
October should remind us that, despite the hardship and difficulties many Nigerians are experiencing, we must not give up on Nigeria.
Our country has the people, resources and potential to do better.
Many Nigerians continue to face serious challenges, including high living costs, rising transportation and housing costs, unemployment, reduced purchasing power, insecurity and difficulties with reliable electricity.
These are issues that deserve urgent and practical solutions.
The question before us is simple: What kind of leadership can provide those solutions?
The ADC has presented former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its Presidential Candidate and the Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi as its Vice-Presidential Candidate for 2027.
Their public records include experience in national and subnational governance, economic and public administration, and transportation.
The ADC has also stated that its economic approach would include practical measures to address hardship, while Atiku has proposed a targeted, time-bound and accountable approach to production support rather than simply returning to the old subsidy system.
Nigeria needs leadership that listens, learns from experience, protects citizens and delivers measurable results.
As we enter a new month, let us remain hopeful, peaceful and committed to the future of our country.
Let us demand accountability, dissect policies carefully and participate actively in our democracy.
Nigeria can move forward.
Nigeria can work again.
Nigeria can prosper again
