ADC’s Owokoniran Urges Nigerians To Rise, Unite And Reclaim Their Future
As Nigerians welcome the month of September, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) South West and Convener of the Frontliners Movement, Lagos State, Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, has extended warm greetings to Nigerian women, youths and families across the country.
Owokoniran described September as a month of fresh determination, reflection and decisive action, urging Nigerians to actively participate in the struggle to build a better and more prosperous nation.
He called on Nigerians, particularly women and youths, to support the Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi presidential ticket, describing Atiku as a determined, hardworking and experienced leader whose journey from business to politics and public service demonstrated perseverance and commitment.
He also highlighted the extensive political and public-service experience of Rotimi Amaechi, stressing that his years as Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation provide valuable experience for the task of national transformation.
Owokoniran further referenced Atiku’s recent position on fuel subsidy, including his promise to reconsider the policy and restore it if elected, arguing that Nigerians deserved economic policies that reduced hardship and put the welfare of citizens first.
“September should remind us that every new month gives us another opportunity to change our story. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and we must not surrender our future to hardship, insecurity and hopelessness,” he said.
He expressed confidence that Atiku and Amaechi, working together with Nigerians, could provide experienced and purposeful leadership capable of restoring economic confidence, creating opportunities for youths, improving security and rebuilding hope.
He said: “To our women and youths, this is our country and this is our future. Let us unite, participate and make our voices count.
“The Nigeria we desire is possible.”
