Silver-winning Ghana came runners-up, while Liberia took third position to win bronze.

The three nations similarly took all the medals in the women’s category.

In the women 4x100m relay race, the Nigerian women won the Gold.

The Liberian team came second (silver) and the Ghanaian team finished third (bronze).

In the breath-taking performance in the men’s 4×100-meter relay, Team Nigeria outpaced their archrivals, Ghana, by two microseconds to seize gold at the 2023 African Games in Accra.

With a swift time of 38.41 seconds, Nigeria executed flawless baton exchanges, particularly from the third leg to the anchor leg, which was anchored by Usheoritse, per the African Games.

In coming third, Liberia shattered their national record to claim the bronze medal with a time of 38.73 seconds.

Team Nigerians completed the routing of Team Ghana when Tobi Amusan put up an optimum performance in the women’s 4×100-meter relay team to clinch gold, marking the country’s successful defence of their crown from five years ago in Rabat, Morocco.

Amusan, along with Justina Tiana Eyakpobeyan, Olayinka Olajide, and Abinusawa Forehand, powered the quartet to victory with a swift time of 43.05 seconds.
