Alternative Group Endorses Rotimi George-Taylor For Ogun Central Senate
The ambition of the Senatorial Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ogun Central, Hon. Rotimi George-Taylor, yesterday received a boost as a prominent socio-political group, The Alternative Group, formally endorsed him.
The endorsement took place at a well-attended meeting in Abeokuta yesterday, 15th October, 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the leadership lamented that Nigerians, particularly youths in Ogun Central, have gotten tired of failed promises from recycled politicians. According to them, the continued economic hardship in the country calls for a new breed of leaders with capacity and integrity.
“We have searched and we find solace in the erudite personality of Hon. Rotimi George-Taylor. He is not just a politician, he is educated, exposed and has the character to give us effective representation,” the group stated.
They also shared hope of the possibility of a New Nigeria, which they said is achievable with leaders like George-Taylor in the National Assembly come 2027.
In his response, Hon. Rotimi George-Taylor thanked the group for their confidence and promised not to disappoint. He assured that his representation will focus on youth empowerment, women and economic revival and legislative interventions to cushion the economic hardship facing Nigerians.
