BREAKING: MC Oluomo’s Lagos NURTW Ally Dies From Bullet Wounds
The Organising Secretary of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Toba Ajiboye, has died after succumbing to gunshot injuries sustained in an attack by unidentified gunmen.
Popularly known as Toba Ijaya, Ajiboye was a close ally of
Musiliu “MC Oluomo” Akinsanya, the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
MC is a close associate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The reported assassination attempt happened at the Ikorodu Road axis on Sunday night, while he was on his way home from Fadeyi area Lagos.
Although initial reports indicated that he survived the attack, sources confirmed on Tuesday that he later died while receiving treatment.
His death has plunged the Lagos transport union into mourning, with members, colleagues and supporters expressing shock over the incident.
His sudden death was confirmed in an emotional tribute by a close ally, who described Ajiboye as a loyal, dependable, and committed union leader whose dedication to the NURTW and unwavering support for TeamSego and SegoNation would never be forgotten.
According to the tribute, the late Ajiboye was not only a trusted friend but also a pillar of strength whose loyalty and selfless service left an enduring impact on everyone who worked with him.
Condolences have continued to pour in for his family, friends, and the entire NURTW Lagos State Council, with prayers offered for God to forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest.
