He also said others affected included: National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade; Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha; and National Organising Secretary, Umaru Bature.

The suspension comes on the heels of the judgement of the Federal High Court On Friday, which stopped the party’s planned National Convention.

According to Ologunagba, the suspension followed allegations of anti-party activities and conduct capable of bringing the party into disrepute.

He stated that the affected officials have been referred to the PDP National Disciplinary Committee for further investigation, adding that they will cease to function in their respective positions during the suspension period.

“The NWC, in line with the provisions of the PDP Constitution, reached the following resolutions: the National Legal Adviser, Mr. Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN); Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha; National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; and National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, have been suspended for one month and referred to the party’s Disciplinary Committee,” Ologunagba said.
