The Supreme Court has affirmed thr election of Sanwo-Olu as Governor of Lagos State in the March 2023 elections.
Justice Garba Lawal who read the lead judgment dismissed the appeal filed by Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who contested on the platform of the Labour Party LP and was Runner-Up in the Lagos election.
Justice Lawal held that the Deputy Governor Ganiyu Hamzat was duly qualified to contest the election.
Rhodes-Vivour had contended that the Deputy Governor was unqualified to run for holding a dual citizenship, Nigeria and the US.
