The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Humanitarian Affairs Minister, Professor Nentawe Yiltwada, as its National Chairman.
YA Minister in the Federal Government cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Yiltwada replaces Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned on June 27.
Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state, made the nomination.
Uzodinma was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas.
The NEC meeting is currently ongoing at the Presidential Villa.
