Build Capacity, Nigerians Don’t Need Your Rice, Primate Ayodele To First Lady Remi Tinubu
Primate Elijah Ayodele, Servant of the Most High God, Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria has made it clear to the wife of the president and First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, that the problem of Nigerians does not like in rice.
He urged the First Lady to first build capacity of Nigerians rather than distribution of rice as a palliative to cushion the sufferings of the people.
He told her that rice cannot make her win, that Nigerians need something more solid and bigger than rice.
Primate Ayodele said, “The president’s wife said she wants to distribute rice as palliative because of the economic hardship.
“And of course giving loan, it is not enough.
Why not do capacity building for people, create employment for them.
“That rice will not solve the problem, that rice is a waste of resources, it is wasteful.
“Mama Remi Tinubu, you may not like what I am saying, but what you want to do is not resourceful, it is not good.
“I call it a waste, why, you are going to use it to sensitise people, that does not mean you will win.
“That thing you want to do does not mean you will win. Dont b you know there is hardship already?
“In next two months Nigerians will experience more hardship and inflation. That is what I am telling minister of Finance, but he has not listened now but when the time comes, he would say, oh, Naira will slump, and people will not be able to buy what they want to buy. Economic hardship.
“That one you want to do, N1.2 billion you said you want to buy rice to give to people, Nigerians want something reasonable, more than that.
“It is advice, you may not like it, if you like take it.
“So that is my take for her Excellency,”
