Delta State’s Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has dismissed his Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza.
The reasons behind his removal have not been officially disclosed.
According to the Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communication, Dr. Fred Latimor Oghenesivbe, Governor Oborevwori has directed the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), Charles Aniagwu, to temporarily oversee the Ministry of Information.
Aniagwu previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Commissioner for Information during former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.
Oghenesivbe noted that Aniagwu would manage both ministries for the time being, beginning from Monday.
Sources indicate that Osuoza’s dismissal may be linked to multiple complaints of alleged incompetence.
