Bishop David Abioye, former Vice-President of Living Faith Church, popularly called Winners Chapel, has given notice of holding Sunday morning services on May 4, seven months after his retirement and commencement of evening programmes in Abuja.

At retirement, Abioye had said he would not start a new church.

He has been holding the evening services at Los Angelis Event Centre, Along Ahmadu Bello Way, Kado, FCT, Abuja.

Despite the new development, the Bishop has yet to announce the name of the new mission.

Abioye announced the new development of holding Sunday morning services while closing the evening service in Abuja on Sunday, April 27.

Abioye had taken the microphone to say: “Very important information. From next Sunday, by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8am. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name,” the cleric announced.

Reacting to the announcement, the congregation erupted in praises, shouts and applause.

Abioye, alongside Bishop Thomas Aremu, retired from Living Faith in October 2024, respectively aged 67 and 63.

Instead, he began the non-denominational ministry in Abuja, holding services on Sunday evening.

Speaking at the end of an evening fellowship on April 27, Abioye said his ministry would now hold services on Sunday morning.
