The Baltimore County Circuit Court has handed down judgement in the defamation case of Dr. Daniel Olukoya’s Mountain and his Fire and Miracles Ministries MFM USA, Inc. v Olufunke Ashekun on March13, 2026.
In a judgement handed down by the Circuit Court of Baltimore County Maryland on the 13th of March 2026 in the matter of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries USA, Inc. v Olufunke Ashekun, the plaintiff successfully prosecuted its claims of Defamation and False Light resulting in a binding court order against Olufunke Ashekun for compensatory damages in the sum of $250,000 and punitive damages in the sum of $50,000 immediately awarded to Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries USA, INC.
In granting the judgement and damages, the court recognised the prolonged intense and malicious campaign conducted by Olufunke Ashekun against Dr DK olukoya and the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries who were seriously concerned by the reach and extent of her destructive rhetoric.
The Court, by a unanimous jury decision, ruled that Funke Ashekun’s campaign
negatively affected the professional integrity of Mountain of Fire and their reputations as widely publicized by Ashekun.
Sources claimed that a day to the ruling by the jury, Funke Ashekun slumped when she realized that the case was already overwhelmingly against her due to her weak, worthless and inadmissible evidence and witnesses.
She was taken out from the court by an emergency 911 Ambulance. Her husband suffered the same fate the following day, exactly like Ananiahs and Saphirah when he came to submit a medical report on behalf of his wife which did not stop the jury from proceeding with their verdict.
A member of the church said: ‘This is an overwhelming victory and a complete vindication of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries and their reputation as well as that of DR DK Olukoya the General Overseer of the mountain of fire and miracles ministries.
“When lies travelled for a thousand years, truth will catch up with it in a second.”
