Benue State’s Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has expressed deep sadness over attacks on Anwase community in Kwande Local Government that saw suspected Fulani herdsmen slaying 11 residents.

The incident happened on December 25 when families were celebrating Christmas.

In a statement by his media aide, Tersoo Kula, Alia vowed that the perpetrator of the dastardly act would be brought to justice.

He said: “I can assure you, the perpetrators of this act will pay dearly for it. They may think they are not known, but they cannot be allowed to continue perpetrating this. It’s a matter of time”.

Alia condoled with bereaved families and equally sympathizes with those injured.
