In the course of my career, God has been kind to me. I remember when I’d go to “bend-down-select markets” to buy clothes that I will wash and starch to style people on movie sets while praying and waiting to be casted in movie roles, to today where I can now shop globally for merchandise to properly style myself and the cast that work with me on my sets. Having the financial capability to bring my visions to life is a blessing that I am forever grateful for.
It is why I am honored to lend my voice to the campaign #HerMoneyHerPower. I must say, women’s economic power is not about pride, unhealthy competition or rivalry, it is about the importance of Women’s financial freedom and ability to make their own choices, on their own terms. It is about a woman’s liberation from financial instability and desperation.
