INEC Man Amupitan’s Assurances Nothing But Air Blown Out Of Hollow Shell

But Nigerians had enough assurances from INEC Chairmen past and present singing the same tune in every single day till the last day of the election. Like Amutipan’s predecessors, he is deceiving the public and it will not work.

His pathetic actions are not helping his pretences. Why couldn’t he even change his style to suit his creative style? His actions are showing every aspect of his character and his personality as someone dogged and loyal to his convictions to sacrifice his life to deliver his preconceived desired dreams.

Why should we possibly trust him to do the right things?
Wasn’t he sought out by the President in the first instance? So he wanted us to believe that the President who started his campaign to return a second term in office sorted him out but needed him to deliver the next President to the right choice of the people of Nigeria. Amupitan, please think twice before you respond to the people’s demands.

Remember that we are talking about the President who has not shy away from his desire to ensure his reelection as a matter of necessity one way or the other. He brought you in to be double sure that his return to the office is assured. And you know it is all a lie to expect you to serve the people against your employer and you want to keep lying to the public because you not only want to keep your job but you also want to advance your career in the long run.

Your announcement of your resignation would have been very welcome to the public instead of flagging yourself with the photo shoot with Gen Abubakar Abdulsalam. Did he recommend you for the position? Why use him to market your signature on your profile picture?

We haven’t forgotten about the hatchet job you did to PDP. The lower court ruling was based on the decision you made inviting the two camps to your office pretending to mediate between the two camps. Nothing came out of your mediation but paving the way for your favorite candidate side of the divide.

Even if the court rejected the Ibadan convention it doesn’t cancel the decision of the party to hand over the continued leadership of the party the person of choice to the party. PDP is split into two factions from top to bottom. Do we now have two parties in one PDP? What is delaying your pronouncement on PDP since they have not fulfilled the provision in line with your manifesto?

You have already thrown the country into uncertainty over your style of leadership and your own agenda is not working out for the best interests of the people.

Your role in the first two exercises congresses and primaries were not particularly well suited for the task at hand. They are leading to the next rounds of the National elections in 2027. If the political parties’ internal elections don’t matter to INEC who would instill the spirit of democracy in the political system in the absence of INEC in crucial moments of the elections?

Then the general elections are best imagined by all of us. Again, we have the rerun elections as another pointer to the INEC role in the processes leading to the elections. These were activities that are easily possible to manage and yet lots of flaws manifest in the elections. Like our regular civil servants, Amupitan will rather wait and watch for the outcome than facing the inevitable consequences of his failure to deliver on his promises.

Anyway he owes the public no apologies for his failure to do the right thing in the first instance, because he deserves his authority and responsibility for his actions to the person who hired him; the President of Nigeria. Be not deceived by INEC Chairman, it is him and the ruling party, APC versus the rest of the country.

Be ready to defend your votes.
