Sorrow has engulfed Nimo, a community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, over the killing of its chief, Ogbuefi Ozo Nnanyelugo.
A member of the Nimo Royal Cabinet, Ogbuefi Ozo Nnanyelugo was earlier abducted in his farm, and killed after his abductors collected N15 million ransom from his family.
His lifeless body was found dumped in the same farm he had been kidnapped from.
Sources said the masked armed assailants stormed the farm and took his away, after causing panic among workers, who fled the scene.
Days later, his corpse was dumped back in the farm, with deep machete cuts on the head.
Anambra State security operatives have cordoned off the area, while investigations were said to be ongoing to track down those behind the heinous act.
